Nathan Hale Family Tree/Genealogy ? You're History!

I am the pres. of the Westhampton, MA historical society and have learned quite a bit about the patriot Nathan Hale?s brother Enoch, and his descendants. Enoch and Nathan attended Yale together, graduated together. When Nathan disappeared in N.Y., Enoch went looking for him. Enoch remained in Westhampton all his life and is buried here. His son, Nathan, went on to become the editor of the Boston Daily Advertiser and was the father of, among others, Edward Everett Hale. Another of Enoch?s sons, Richard, married a Rust girl from town. Their son was named Enoch Hale. He went on to become a well known physician in Boston, working to establish the Lying In Hospital for Indigent Women (later became Brigham & Women?s Hospital). In the middle and among many others omitted, you can see some of the Hale family relationships, letters, drawings, etc. at the online site for the Smith College archives at: http://asteria.fivecolleges.edu/findaids/sophiasmith/mnsss90_bioghist.html

I would be happy to try to answer any questions you may have about the Hales of Westhampton or their descendants.
